The Government Degree College, Santirbazar was established on 14th June, 2012, located in the South District of Tripura, which is 90 km from the state capital Agartala. The college is affiliated to Tripura University (a Central University). Agartala. It is declared as one of the ‘Model’ college of Tripura under the programme of Rashtriya Uchhatar Shikshya Abhiyan (RUSA). It has been offering the number of courses both in regular mode and distance mode. The state Tripura, as it is located in the Northeast part of the country, a peripheral region has been deprived of Higher Education since long period of time and in this context now the mission of the college is to bring the higher education in the doorstep of the people of the state.Besides the mission of accession of higher education, the college has also determined to bring quality education and overall development of the students, which would help them in enriching their academic career. With this mission and vision, now the college has been taking every steps and initiatives to realize the aforesaid goals.
